A Structured Pathway for Early Learners

Mona Iyer, creator of K Reading Kickstart and K Math Kickstart, presents a

comprehensive, multisensory approach to early literacy and numeracy

instruction designed for all young learners, including those who may later

be identified with dyslexia or other learning differences. The reading

curriculum, grounded in the science of reading, systematically builds

phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension

through direct, structured, and cumulative lessons. Paired with the K Math

Kickstart program, which introduces core math concepts using hands-on

methods and visual reasoning, students gain confidence and foundational

understanding in both literacy and numeracy. These programs are used

widely in classrooms and at home and are developmentally appropriate for

PreK, Kindergarten through First grade. Attendees will explore how Mona’s

integrated curriculum not only supports early skill acquisition but also

allows educators and caregivers to identify potential learning difficulties

early, ensuring that every child gets the support they need from the start.

Padi is the new digitized extension of the K-Reading Kickstart Program.

This new Padi platform uses the principles and content of K-Reading

Kickstart program and renders it in an interactive digital format to enable

any teacher to log in and start using the new teaching methods right away.
