Description: In this session, we focus on five research-validated practices for math intervention. We will discuss the importance of building an instructional platform that focuses on math vocabulary, multiple representations, modeling and practice, fluency, and word-problem solving.

Learning Objectives:
1. Participant will describe the importance of embedding formal mathematics vocabulary into mathematics intervention.
2. Participant will explain different types of mathematical representations.
3. Participant will define fluency and provide examples of fluency in mathematics.
4. Participant will explain how to use an attack strategy to approach word-problem solving.
