Oklahoma Alta Chapter Fall Conference

1. Presenter Nikki Winter will present on executive functions and provide tools and resources for therapists and practitioners to implement with their students.

2. Presenter Nikki Winter will present on identifying and discovering practice tools that support the social and emotional needs of the students with dyslexia.

3. Oklahoma is currently providing the AMIRA assessment to all public schools in Oklahoma. This assessment is used to screen and identify "at-risk" students and also serves as a dyslexia screener. An AMIRA representative will present on how the assessment is administered and what reports are available. Many of our CALTS and CALPS are currently working in Oklahoma Schools and many of the students they see are students in Oklahoma schools. Having an understanding of this assessment will provide them with pertinent information.
