Description:	In this presentation evolving research from the cognitive neurosciences on reading development and dyslexia will be used to discuss the importance of expanding our understanding of foundational skills and deep reading, comprehension skills in our assessments, and most importantly, in multi component, evidence-based interventions. A description of a multi-component approach to intervention will highlight how the continuing tensions between reading methods can be bridged by an expansion of knowledge about the reading brain.
