Philosophy
I know what is is like to sit in a classroom and think everyone else can do this except me, because I am dyslexic myself. I have compassion for helping students overcome what has not been easy for me. We will embrace our neurodiversity together!

I'm an enthusiastic optimist. I will be cheering your student to the finish line! My goal is to work myself out of a job. 😉 I provide research proven strategies to transform your student into a capable reader. Your student's time with me will be precisely planned out and spent working on the skills they specifically need to acquire. I enjoy teaching parents how to help their child and providing resources for them to use at home. We are a team with your student’s best interests at heart!

Educational Background
For 16 years I have taught children how to read: 4 years teaching 1st grade, 7 years teaching kindergarten, 4 years as a dyslexia specialist for an elementary school (1st-5th grades) and one year of dyslexia intervention online.
Areas of Extended Training
I am trained in two dyslexia curricula, Neuhaus Basic Language Skills and Reading By Design.
