    ALTA GREAT LAKES presents:

The Impact of Cognitive Load on Instructional Design
    Presented by: Jamey Peavler, Ed.D., OGA-FIT, C-SLDS

    $40 Members | $50 Non-Members | 2.0 CEs

    --------------

Working memory, the gatekeeper of learning, plays a crucial role in the learning process. Understanding its limitations can shed light on why learning can be more labor-intensive for some students than others. This understanding is key when students transition from acquisition to fluency, from fluency to generalization, and from generalization to adaptation. Educators and instructional designers who understand the importance of working memory can develop effective instructional strategies and materials that facilitate learning, thereby empowering their students.
