The honorary membership is open to individuals who have a notable service to the field of dyslexia.

Twenty-Five years of membership in good standing with ALTA
Documentation of service to ALTA will include:
- serving as a board member and/or officer,
- serving as a committee chair or committee member, or
- volunteering at ALTA sponsored events.

- serving as a board member and/or officer,
- serving as a committee chair or committee member, or
- volunteering at ALTA sponsored events.

Note:
- Applying for this level of membership may be done by the applicant or by an ALTA member in good standing.
- Upon submission of application & documents, a person who has demonstrated dedication to the field of dyslexia and/or ALTA, may be honored posthumously as deemed appropriate by the ALTA board of directors.
- An Honorary Lifetime Member may not hold a position on the ALTA board of directors, but may serve on ALTA committees.
- An Honorary Lifetime Member will pay no annual fees and will be a non- voting member of ALTA.
- A member’s status as an Honorary Lifetime Member will be reflected on her/his membership card. Honorary Lifetime members will retain their current or last ALTA membership level with the distinction of -H following it.
